Boundless

Boundless - Cynthia Hand As most of you know, I am not a big fan of angel books, but yet this series has had me sucked in right from the very first book. Then the second one solidified my love for this series and I thought I would go insane waiting for the third and final book in the series. This book had my emotions all over the place just as with the first two. I have grown to love these characters and became invested in their story and what would happen. I knew this book would be emotional and bittersweet. I always hate to let go of the characters when a series ends, but Cynthia Hand wrapped up the story well. I wasn't totally happy with the ending, but I was satisfied enough. I can't say more about it than that.Clara is a character that I have always loved. She comes across as very real to me. She's a tough girl, but she's also gentle, caring, and smart. Does she make some really bad decisions? Of course, but she's just an 18 year old girl, she's allowed to make mistakes. She's also a bit hurt and confused and things are getting bad around her. She holds it together well, and she fights when she needs to fight. I was a bit bothered by her being hung up on the boys when there is so much more going on, but I get that you can't turn your heart off. I liked that the environment is so different with them being adults and off at college. I love her dedication to Angela and her need to do what is right, even when it hurts. Like in the first two books, I found her to be very selfless most of the time, and that is such an awesome trait to have. The romance in this is more underlying than right out there. It's feelings and emotions, and not the physical stuff. I love both Christian and Tucker and think that they both would be good for Clara in different ways. I wouldn't say that I am torn between them though. I have always had my favorite and I always have chosen him. As for who Clara ends up with I obviously won't say. In the end either one would have made me happy since they are both great guys. Both of them have some lines that brought me to tears, and my heart was breaking for all of them at one point or another. The danger is much worse in this than in the previous two. Samjeeza is still pretty scary, but they have way bigger things to worry about. Besides the Dark Wings and the danger that comes with being a triplare, they have some major personal things going on. Things with Clara's brother are tense, Angela has things going on, and Clara and Christian are trying to work through their visions and try to figure it all out before it's too late. This had plenty of action to keep the adventurous side of me happy, and the emotional ride it took me on satisfied my love for being torn apart by books lol. I wish there had been a bit more romance, but the bits that there was in this were very charged up and made me feel it to my core. I think this was a fantastic end to the series.
